CAN client Future Wolverton walked away with the Business Impact in the Community Award at the Milton Keynes Business Achievement Awards in March.

Future Wolverton is a Community Benefit Society, a membership-based organisation with a mission to establish Wolverton as a thriving and sustainable town within the city of Milton Keynes.

The society had been short-listed in the ‘Business Impact in the Community’ category – which “recognises and celebrates organisations who have demonstrated a positive impact on the environment or community within Milton Keynes, which has resulted in long-term sustainable outcomes”.

Around 600 people, including members of the Future Wolverton team, attended a formal awards ceremony on March 24 at the Doubletree Ballroom, Stadium MK, with Brian Titley representing CAN.

CAN has worked with Future Wolverton for the past 7 years, during which time it has purchased its own building for community use, set up a number of grant funded and trading income streams in the building and is developing ambitious plans to populate other community spaces within the town of Wolverton.

Since 2015, CAN has helped Future Wolverton to raise over £1.5m of funds in the form of capital grants, revenue grants, loans and community shares

Alongside financial projection work, bookkeeping and financial management, CAN has also helped with HR support and business planning.
