About SACDA

Southampton Area Co-operative Development Agency is a not-for-profit common ownwership organisation owned and democratically controlled by the people of Southampton.

SACDA is:

SACDA exists to promote and support the development of co-operatives and social enterprises. These services are provided by experienced professional development workers under contract.

SACDA’s formal objectives are: 
a) to promote job creation and job retention and urban regeneration through the development of co-operative enterprises in the area and to provide appropriate support facilities.
 
b) to relieve poverty and advance education.

SACDA provides services on a project-by-project basis, and is always keen to collaborate on projects to enable wider provision of its services to people in the communities of Southampton and the surrounding area.
