Social Accounting workshop

This interactive workshop is designed to help students specify the social functions of a social enterprise and develop their social accounting practice.  Ideally but not essentially, students will first have carried out a stakeholder analysis so that they understand who their stakeholders are and their needs and expectations.

Learning Objectives

By the end of the workshop, the students should be able to:

  • Set the social aims and objectives of a social enterprise
  • Specify social product
  • Set targets to achieve social objectives
  • Set processes and systems to monitor social output
  • Identify indicators and measures to collect
  • Set a process for reporting on the social output
  • Understand how to carry out social impact measurement
  • Understand how to carry out a social audit
  • Carry out a social return on investment (SROI) calculation

Workshop Duration

This is a full day workshop.

Please note that it may not be possible to achieve all the learning objectives in shorter versions of workshops.
