Serving the people of Cambridge and the surrounding towns and villages, Driveaway School of Motoring was the first driving school in the UK to choose a co-operative structure for their business. This was specifically to benefit both their instructors and their clients. Subsequently, their co-operative business model has been copied by others.

Our mission is to to reduce the social and environmental impacts of travel by providing mutually owned, high quality and inclusive public transport services that encourage people to choose more sustainable options. Our ambition is to be the first co-operatively owned train operating company in the UK. GO-OP will also support the development of car clubs, bus links and travel hubs to enable communities to access sustainable transport options.

A community-based, not-for-private-profit enterprise based in Little Canfield, a small rural village near Stansted airport in Essex.
We run monthly Sunday markets - selling local produce and crafts; The Green Café, a weekend watering-hole for local residents and users of the Flitch Way - a popular walking/cycling route adjacent to our venue; a bike hire facility to enable more people to cycle the Flitch Way and access arguably our best local asset - the National Trust's Hatfield Forest; and a co-op cinema club. Our social aims are to provide training and work experience opportunities for young unemployed people - so your support will also help to provide wider benefits in our community.

Established in 1995, MFRC provides furniture restoration, upholstery, French polishing, cabinet making, rush and cane seating repairs and picture framing services to the residents of Chelmsford and mid-Essex. Based in the grounds of a restored 17th century water mill, MFRC is dedicated to helping adults with mental health problems rehabilitate to the world of work through therapeutic work experience and accredited City & Guilds courses.

This project aims to create a city in which every work and life experience can be provided by an economically and environmentally sustainable co-operative by 2030. Already thousands of people are employed and volunteer with co-operatives in Southampton. With over 20% growth in the sector between 2008 and 2014, co-operatives have performed signficantly better than other types of organisation. Includes a listing of all co-operative businesses, credit unions and devlopment agencies with a SO postcode.
